Bani’s Dilemma is the first in the LGBTQ teen anti-bullying series. Bani Chamberlain has spent most of her formidable years trying to convince her parents that she’s not the bully, but the one being bullied. They, however, so wrapped up in their own marital problems, refuse to hear their daughter’s cries for help. A late night confrontation ensues between Bani’s parents almost coming to blows, which forces the break-up of the family unit…a break-up that Bani is convinced is her fault. Bani, an out lesbian at the tender age of 15-years old and a self-professed rebel pulls us into the often confusing world of a young woman trying to make sense of life, bringing her story directly to us, her readers. She takes us on a very honest and often times painful journey.
Will Bani ever be able to overcome her bullies? Will she find her voice? Only Bani knows the answers to those vexing questions. I promise you though that you will witness a transformation full of humor, grace and heroism.

Wow! I just finished reading Bani’s Dilemma and it was terrific! I feel like I know Bani personally. Although I am a gay man and not a lesbian, I can really identify with her. She has encouraged me to want to make a difference in my community! I am so happy to see that Mr. Carey-Infante has just released the second in the series – Bani Finds Her Something. I just ordered it. I can’t wait to see what she does next!
